Leif has been in
the management consulting industry for over 20 years
and worked in diverse organizations (McKinsey, Accenture, Viant,
m.a.partners, Detica, among others) and in a variety of roles
(associate, manager, relationship manager, practice leader, internal
manager, sole practitioner, and as a pinch hitter for sales). Although
his focus in the last few years has been for financial institutions, he
has also done significant work within life sciences,
media/entertainment, transportation, chemicals, food services, and law
firms. Leif's functional focus has been on helping clients deal
effectively with disruptive change, and usually where technology has
been an important enabler or inhibitor.
Throughout all
this, he has been a student of the management consulting
industry itself and has been struck by some of the more persistent
problems in the industry. He has found management consulting to be an
underutilized and (consequently) undervalued profession. This in spite
of the fact that Leif's own experience with his colleagues are that
they are nearly universally competent, principled professionals with a
sincere passion for being helpful.
Yithro was
founded with the goal of helping consulting and advisory
professionals interact more effectively with their market.
